Description
Performance and Reach
The JCB 540-180 telehandler is designed to handle heavy-duty tasks with a 4,000 kg maximum payload and a lift height reaching up to 17.51 meters. Its forward reach extends 10.47 meters, ensuring versatility on site. Thanks to JCB’s state-of-the-art hydraulics, it guarantees quick lifting, extending, and pushing operations, making it one of the fastest machines in its class.
The boom on this model is constructed to endure tough conditions, with over a 1-meter overlap for additional strength. Plus, its design cleverly routes the hydraulic hoses through the structure to protect them from damage during operation.
Site Flexibility
Designed as a workhorse for the construction industry, the JCB 540-180 telehandler is built for both durability and adaptability. It arrives early on site and remains essential until the job is done. The machine is 1,000 kg lighter than its counterpart, the 540-170, due to a more compact chassis and lighter boom sections, enhancing its maneuverability.
With a 10% reduced turning radius compared to earlier models, this machine is exceptionally nimble. Operators can switch between three steering modes—four-wheel steer for tight spaces, two-wheel steer for road use, and crab steer for confined work areas. The 4WD comes standard, further contributing to its versatility.
Powered by the Stage V JCB 430 Dieselmax engine, it features a simplified exhaust system, with only DPF and DOC after-treatment, minimizing maintenance and operating costs.
This telehandler is equipped with pallet forks and supports JCB quickhitch, making attachment changes fast and easy. There are also other attachment options available upon request.
Operator Experience
Operator comfort is at the forefront of the JCB 540-180 design. The cab has been engineered for ease of use and ergonomic support, reducing operator fatigue by up to 8%, which contributes to a safer and more productive working environment. The intuitive single-lever control system adds to the convenience.
The HiViz design ensures excellent visibility for the operator, with large roof screens, direct glazing, tinted cab glass, and a low-mounted boom, all combining to create a safe and comfortable work environment.
These features come together to make the JCB 540-180 one of the best-performing and most operator-friendly telehandlers available in the market.
